Chris Feeney is the President of BITS, the technology policy division of the Financial Services Roundtable, where he collaborates with the nation’s largest financial institutions and policymakers in promoting safety and soundness in financial services technologies as well as effective risk management practices, policy and regulation.
FSR’s BITS team is the financial industry’s forefront voice in Washington urging lawmakers to pass comprehensive cybersecurity information sharing and data breach security laws. BITS is also a thought leader for the industry on cybersecurity technology and practices, fraud prevention, risk management and emerging technologies.
Feeney has over 30 years of experience in executive management, technology, business/sales management and operating roles at software companies, broker dealers and investment management firms. Prior to joining BITS, Feeney was the President of Feeney Consulting LLC, a strategic advisory firm, consulting on behalf of boards, CEOs and leadership teams. Chris has served as managing director and CIO at LPL Financial, the fourth-largest wealth management firm in the U.S., where he was a member of the management committee.
Prior to LPL Chris was a senior executive at Thomson Financial, Bank of America and Broadridge Financial as well as software firms and innovators such as CEO at Telerate, Inc., and President | COO at Multex, Inc. Prior to the sale of these firms he was responsible for setting strategic direction, top line growth and improving operating capabilities and financial performance.
Chris is currently a Board Advisor to Advizr, Inc. and Quovo, Inc., both innovators in financial services technology.
