For the fifth year in a row, nonprofits across the country will open their doors to a flood of volunteers from Ameriprise Financial on November 14. Dressed in bright blue t-shirts, more than 10,000 Ameriprise employees, advisors and clients will overtake warehouses, assembly lines and kitchens all over the U.S. to help package and prepare meals for families in need. In total, more than 400 volunteer events will take place across all 50 states. This infusion of support will help provide more than 1 million meals for people in communities from coast to coast ahead of the holidays.

Over the past five years, 36,000 Ameriprise volunteers have participated in more than 1,500 volunteer events nationwide.

The effort is organized by Ameriprise each fall to help the one in six – or 49 million – Americans struggling with hunger. It has grown to become the single largest volunteer event hosted in partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Since 2009, Ameriprise has helped provide more than 35 million meals and volunteered 120,000 hours in support of building stronger communities.

Congratulations Ameriprise!
