Assurant’s partnership in support of United Way in local towns and cities dates back more than 25 years. During this year’s annual campaign, Assurant employees from 24 U.S. locations came together to participate in volunteer events and raise money for local United Way chapters and affiliate charities.

These giving opportunities helped reinforce community spirit and the Company’s core values—Common Sense, Common Decency, Uncommon Thinking and Uncommon Results.

“We support United Way because of their impressive track record for effectively doing what matters: advancing the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all,” said Assurant President and CEO Alan B. Colberg.

“Our enterprise-wide commitment underscores how effective Assurant can be – especially when we come together with a common vision and opportunity to affect change and support the hometowns where we live and work.”

The Company’s United Way campaign is one of many opportunities for employees to help strengthen their communities. By partnering with charitable organizations like Junior Achievement and Habitat for Humanity to support financial education, housing and self-sufficiency efforts, Assurant and its employees help give back in meaningful ways year-round.

“Assurant employees’ commitment to serve their communities is underscored by teamwork, creativity and unwavering generosity. I am proud of the support and commitment of Assurant employees to come together to help neighbors in need,” said Colberg.

Congratulations Assurant!
