BB&T – Dedicated to Financial Education

Education is an important part of our lives.  It’s also part of BB&T’s culture and something we support on a daily basis.  We’re committed to providing the tools and resources needed to help our clients achieve economic success and financial security.  While we’ve been especially focused in April to support Financial Literacy Month, we know obtaining knowledge is not limited to one month out of a year – it’s a life-long journey.

BB&T believes financial education is not just about money.  We realize it has everything to do with understanding the power of money – and what it can do for you.  The past is filled with tales of people who have overcome obstacles, physical limitations, and education to accomplish great things.  Our associates take the time to have meaningful conversations with clients to uncover how we can best help them achieve their goals.  BB&T considers the best investment you can make is in yourself, and the sooner you start the better!

Cantey Alexander, Regional President of the Triad Region, speaks to students about the importance of financial education.

During April, our associates have been busy leading seminars to share knowledge.  We’ve also been supporting the BB&T Financial Foundations program to reach high school students throughout our footprint.  Since we began the program in 2011, we’ve reached over 78,000 students and provided them with basic concepts about banking, insurance, investments, budgeting, higher education, and more. BB&T is proud to be sharing knowledge for a brighter direction.

Congratulations BB&T!
