On May 8 and 15, Caterpillar Financial Services employees hit the lanes to participate in a Bowl-a-Thon to support Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee. Thirty-two different teams came together to raise nearly $50,000 for the organization that provides educational and experiential learning opportunities to give young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future and make smart academic and economic choices.

More than 160 Caterpillar employees participated in this year’s bowling event.

More than 160 Caterpillar employees participated in this year’s bowling event.

Each team was responsible for raising money for Junior Achievement (JA) prior to bowling, and came up with some creative ways to support the cause. Events included a company-wide bake sale, a silent auction and a pie in the face competition where employees could “vote” for which manager should receive the pie by making a donation to JA.

This year’s event was themed “Be a Student’s Superhero!” which gave Cat Financial employees the chance to dress in their best capes, masks and costumes.

It’s not every day that you get to wear a cape to work!

In addition to Bowl-a-Thon, Cat Financial and its employees regularly support Junior Achievement by volunteering in classrooms and participating in JA programs throughout the year.

Though we don’t wear capes to work every day, Cat Financial is continuously committed to bettering the communities where our employees live and work.

Congratulations to all of this year’s Bowl-a-Thon participants!
