CIT employees celebrate building affordable homes

CIT celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Employee Volunteer Program (EVP). Since 2006, over 11,000 CIT employees have contributed more than 60,000 hours to more than 1,000 worthy causes throughout CIT’s 40 offices. Employees in CIT offices around the world host food drives, raise money for non-profits, clean up local parks, plant community gardens, deliver meals to homebound seniors, build affordable housing, donate blood, stock and sort canned goods at food banks and prepare campgrounds for children with disabilities.

In addition to the EVP, CIT employees participate in Shared Harvest, CIT’s global food drive program. In the past three years, CIT employees have donated more than 300 tons of food to local food organizations.

A new focus for CIT volunteers is financial literacy, most recently partnering with Operation HOPE. CIT is devoted to helping local communities, focusing on the future, having a long-lasting impact on the people and organizations it supports.

Congratulations CIT Group, Inc.!
