City National colleagues have a history of perennially giving to good causes and then – every May – they somehow manage to dig even deeper as part of the bank’s annual Workplace Giving Campaign. This year was no exception, as colleagues together raised a record $1.3 million!
May 1 marked the start of City National’s annual Workplace Giving Campaign, which ran through May 31. The goal for this year’s campaign was $1.25 million, and although that was an ambitious fund-raising objective, City National colleagues once again raised the bar when it comes to seemingly boundless generosity.
The campaign allows bank colleagues to give through either payroll deductions or a one-time donation, and City National absorbs any administrative fee associated with each colleague donation. Colleagues can also make donations to one or more of the bank’s strategic partner charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society; American Red Cross; Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America; Reading is The way up®; Ronald McDonald House Charities; Save the Children; United Way; or to any 501(c)(3) organization of their choice.
This year’s campaign chairs – Chief Financial Officer Chris Carey and Core Banking’s Executive Vice President Scott Witter – expressed deep appreciation for the generosity of bank colleagues. “It truly is inspiring to be surrounded by colleagues who constantly look beyond themselves and who are truly committed to lending a helping hand to those less fortunate. It’s in City National colleagues’ DNA to make a difference and make the world a better place.”
Congratulations City National Bank!
