More than 400 employees of The Hartford hit the lanes on Feb. 12 for the company’s second bowl-a-thon to support Junior Achievement of Southwest New England (JA). As part of the event, employees raised over $83,000 that will help JA provide programs that inspire and prepare students to be financially literate, workforce ready and entrepreneurial.
In 2013, 220 bowlers from The Hartford raised $57,000 in support of JA. The Hartford’s 2014 bowl-a-thon was the largest in Junior Achievement of Southwest New England’s history.
Together, JA and The Hartford are focused on serving K-12 students in Greater Hartford by delivering business and financial education in new and engaging ways that extend beyond the classroom. Our ongoing collaboration led to the creation of unique, innovative programs such as the JA Entrepreneurial Academy and the JA Be Entrepreneurial Symposium.
Congratulations The Hartford!
