BBVA Compass employees are getting a chance to give back to their communities.
Bank employees have been participating in 100 Days of Brightness, a summer-long initiative designed to create smiles through random acts of kindness. The campaign, which runs from June 1 through September 8, continues last year’s Bank it Forward efforts to bring BBVA Compass’ “banking on a brighter future” mission to life in a tangible and meaningful way and to bring the age of opportunity to all people, particularly those in need.
“BBVA Compass has a goal to provide brighter futures for everyone,” said BBVA Compass Chairman and CEO Manolo Sánchez. “It is a mission that is woven into the bank’s fabric. Initiatives like these solidify our commitment to the communities we call home.”
As part of the initiative, employees are being encouraged to find unique ways to utilize $25 gift cards to ‘pay it forward’ and chronicle their activities on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook using the LiveBright hashtag.
During last year’s campaign, more than 3,000 of BBVA Compass’ team members hit the streets with gift cards, sharing kindness at hospitals, food banks, gas stations, grocery stores and other locations. This year, the event has been expanded across 100 days to give employees more time to get involved. This year’s campaign is being promoted under the “show appreciation” principle, one of BBVA Compass’ 10 bright-future principles.
Congratulations BBVA Compass!
