The spirit of service was in the air as LPL Financial advisors, employees, sponsors, and community volunteers came together for a career mentorship luncheon. Each year, LPL kicks off their Focus conference, their largest conference attended by thousands of advisors, with a service project to give back to their local community.
Nearly one hundred attendees spent the afternoon engrossed in mentoring conversations dedicated to future career paths and professional skills development. Volunteers provided students, many of them the first in their family to attend college, with a real-life understanding of career skills and professional tips and tricks needed to succeed in today’s world.
“LPL is proud to partner with California State University San Marcos to offer this program to these exceptional students. It’s also a great opportunity for our advisors and employee volunteers to apply their professional skills and experience while making a difference,” said Burt White, LPL Financial Chief Investment Officer.
“The Career Center at Cal State San Marcos was honored to partner with the LPL Foundation to plan the Career Mentoring Luncheon,” said Pam Wells, Director. “The experience received rave reviews from student participants who received valuable advice and career insights from their mentors during a once in a lifetime opportunity. I couldn’t be happier with the end result.”
The LPL Foundation hosted the event and is an enabling partner to organizations that help individuals achieve their aspirations in life.
Congratulations LPL Financial!
