For the second year, the LPL Financial Foundation partnered with Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas (JACC), Communities In Schools and Johnson C. Smith Foster Care Initiative to host an educational symposium for underserved area high school students. At the event this month, dozens of Charlotte, N.C.-based LPL employee volunteers donated their time to share important workplace skills with Garinger High School seniors.
“We are thrilled to partner again with Junior Achievement to be able to support youth in our community,” said David Wright, LPL executive vice present and chief technology officer. “The event aligns well with the LPL Financial Foundation’s mission to help individuals in our local communities achieve their aspirations in life. LPL employees enjoy sharing their time and expertise with students as a way to give back and make a difference in the futures of these students.”
“We value the contributions of LPL to help us bring our mission to life to help students be prepared for success during and after high school,” said Sarah Cherne, President and CEO, Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas. “Together, we’re developing better prepared young adults and creating stronger communities.”
The LPL Financial Foundation and JACC partnered in 2015 for a financial education symposium for 11th grade Garinger High School students. LPL volunteers taught the fundamentals of personal finance to enable students to become economically independent young adults.
Congratulations LPL Financial!
