Eye-catching BMO blue t-shirts made it easy to spot thousands of BMO Harris Bank employees as they were welcomed by more than 250 United Way and non-profit organizations across North America. The projects had diverse aims, but shared a common purpose: to give people and communities facing tough challenges an extra boost. More than 4,000 employees lent a hand, planting gardens, mentoring newcomers, socializing with seniors and deepening their understanding of the needs of those around them while continuing their important tradition of social engagement.

“Helping is the promise that drives everything we do,” said Joanna Rotenberg, Head, Personal Wealth Management and Volunteer Day North American spokesperson. “Our annual Volunteer Day is one is one of the ways in which we help contribute to improving life in our communities, and the impact of our efforts is truly inspirational – together we contributed more than 11,550 hours worth of time across North America. That’s years of difference in just one day!”

“Volunteer Day at BMO is one of many ways we impact the communities we serve. Not only does it help those that call these communities home, it says something about who we are and what really matters to us. I’m tremendously proud and extremely thankful to the thousands of employees that lend a helping hand in this important work,” said Christopher Begy, CEO and US Country Head, BMO Financial Corp.

Congratulations BMO Financial Corp.!
