Toyota Financial Services Associates Learn About Los Angeles Area Community Needs During 2nd Annual “Genchi Genbutsu in the Community” Event

Recently 250 Toyota Financial Services (TFS) associates participated in its second annual Genchi Genbutsu (“go and see”) in the Community event.   The purpose of this event is to help associates gain exposure to community issues in Los Angeles and learn how TFS’ community partners are addressing them. Last year’s event sent associates to tour local Boys & Girls Clubs in the Los Angeles area. This year the tour experience began on the bus.

Seven buses fanned out through Los Angeles County to tour various communities and learn about key issues and challenges faced by local youth and adult residents. The excursions were led by community thought leaders who are experts on the communities toured.  The tours included a stop at a community partner currently supported by TFS, including A Place Called Home, Fremont High School, P.S. Arts, Los Angeles Mission, Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson, Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, and All Peoples Community Center. Click here to see an overview video of the event.
