Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is expanding its community outreach by launching a Financial Empowerment Initiative through a new partnership with the Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA). At TFS, we know the importance of understanding credit and the financial opportunities that go along with financial capability. Through a comprehensive financial education strategy, we will employ the talents of our associates in an area that directly impacts our business on a daily basis.
The partnership kicked-off with TFS’ sponsorship the 53rd Girl Scout Convention in Salt Lake City, October 16-19. Convention attendees, using an interactive display, were challenged to use their math skills to determine the maximum number of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie boxes that would fit into a 2014 Toyota Highlander. They were also asked to test their knowledge with a financial literacy quiz.
TFS vice presidents Katherine Adkins and Ann Bybee spoke at several key events including “Conversations of Consequence” which focused on diversity and innovation, the “Young Alumnae” reception honoring achievement and civic engagement, and the “Dollars and Sense” reception regarding the importance of financial education.
TFS is dedicated to advancing financial education. By partnering with the GSUSA, TFS will help empower girls nationwide to be financially savvy leaders.
Congratulations Toyota Financial Services!
