Trustmark Donates Over 5,000 Children’s Books to Pages of Love

Largest Single Donation Given to Date

Trustmark collected more than 5,000 books in the month of October during its company-wide book drive for Pages of Love, a nonprofit organization that collects and redistributes new and gently used children’s books. The books will be distributed for the benefit of children throughout Trustmark’s marketplace in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, expanding the reach of Pages of Love.

“We are thrilled with the results from our partnership with Pages of Love,” Trustmark Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing, Melanie Morgan stated. “With the phenomenal support from our associates, customers and friends, we are able to help further the mission of Pages of Love and make a difference in the lives of children in our communities throughout Trustmark’s footprint.”

Pages of Love was founded in 2005 by Miss Mississippi 2015 Hannah Roberts, who had a childhood marked by numerous visits to doctors’ offices. The organization’s mission is to improve childhood literacy and provide a distraction for ill or hurting children by distributing children’s books to local hospitals, as well as medical and dental clinics. Books have also been given to some schools in need. Pages of Love has collected and distributed more than 30,000 books in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Honduras.

“Trustmark’s gift is the largest single donation ever given to Pages of Love,” Roberts stated. “I am excited we will be able to provide these books to children in need and continue to enhance childhood literacy.”

Congratulations Trustmark!
