TSYS team members put their Dreams in Action and raised and pledged $1,715,000 across the company during the 2015 TSYS United Way Campaign. The grand total includes the $1,376,000 that team members at TSYS’ headquarters in Columbus, Ga. raised/pledged for the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. These totals, revealed at a celebration at TSYS’ Columbus location on Nov. 16, exceeded TSYS’ goals of raising $1,340,000 in Columbus and $1,711,000 across the company.
“You guys really know how to make dreams come true. You put them into action… You have a plan and execute it,” Steve Davis, the city-wide campaign chair for The United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, said at the celebration.
Scott Ferguson, President and CEO of the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, agreed, saying: “It just goes above and beyond. It overwhelms me, and I can’t say thank you enough.”
Penny Wise, the 2015 TSYS United Way Campaign Chair, said team members demonstrated their commitment to the United Way’s key concepts of giving, advocating and volunteering during the campaign. “You can rest assured that these dollars are going to help our citizens with the basic needs of life — food, shelter, safety. So, thank you for giving.”
The campaign, which runs throughout the month of October, features events aimed to raise awareness about the United Way and its agencies and programs. Team members who chose to support the United Way can do so through participation in fundraising events, one-time contributions and payroll deductions.
