US Bancorp is a proud sponsor of MPS Kids Save!, an initiative by the Minnesota Council on Economic Education and the City of Minneapolis that helps teach children in the Minneapolis public school system about the basics of financial education, including saving, setting goals and learning the difference between wanting an item and needing an item.
In honor of Financial Literacy Month this April, US Bancorp President & CEO Richard Davis joined bank employees to help teach third grade students in 54 different schools about saving money.
Click on the images below to watch a video of Davis and Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges read to a class about saving at Anishinabe Academy on April 27.
“US Bank is deeply engaged in this whole idea because it’s part of who we are, this is our headquarters, this is our community,” said Davis in the video, calling the opportunity “a welcome chance” to help the community grow.
Congratulations, US Bank!
