The Webster Bank Employee United Way Campaign is among the most significant ways its bankers demonstrate that helping others in the community is what matters most. Yet again, they showed what it means to Live United by raising a record-breaking $1.4 million for the 2015 Employee United Way Campaign
The amount raised includes an increase of $27,000 in pledges over last year. It also includes more than $90,000 from the United Way fundraising events – which includes an online auction, Jeans Days for United Way, and the Webster United Invitational Golf Tournament – as well as a corporate contribution. The money will go to more than 60 United Way chapters and more than 100 United Way partner agencies.
“I want to send my sincerest thanks to everyone who participated in the campaign. For 80 years, we have been living up to our customers by putting people first. Whether our bankers chose to increase their pledge, give for the first time, or volunteered for a United Way agency, the collective generosity speaks volumes about Webster bankers’ core values,” said Kim Syrop, senior vice president, Director of Fraud and Loss Management, and chair of the 2015 Employee United Way Campaign.
Webster Bank is a leading regional bank serving businesses and consumers in the northeast. Webster has taken part in every United Way Campaign since the Great Depression.
Congratulations Webster Bank!
