Webster Bank Employees Raise Record Amount for United Way Campaign

The Webster Bank Employee United Way Campaign is among the most significant ways its bankers come together to “be the change” and give of themselves in the communities they serve.  Once again, they have shown what it means to “Live United” by raising a record-breaking $1.33 million for the 2013 Webster United Way Campaign. The amount raised includes Webster banker contributions, a corporate contribution, and more than $95,000 from the bank’s United Way fundraising events, including an online auction, Jeans Days for United Way, and the Webster United Way Invitational Golf Tournament.  The money raised will go to more than 40 United Way chapters and more than 100 United Way partner agencies.

“Not only was this an increase over last year’s contribution, there was 100-percent employee response rate,” said Alice Spinella, senior vice president, Project Management Office and chairperson of Webster’s 2013 United Way Campaign.  “I want to send my sincerest appreciation to everyone who participated in this year’s campaign and for so clearly demonstrating our energy, passion, and enthusiasm.  Without this, the success we experienced would not have been possible.”
