Position: Regulatory Law Clerk
The Financial Services Roundtable (FSR) is looking for a law clerk (2nd or 3rd year student or Graduate) for the Fall 2017 semester. In this position, the person will work closely with FSR’s Senior Counsel for Regulatory and Legal Affairs to provide summaries on breaking issues that affect the banking, securities, and insurance sectors of the financial services industry. Additionally, the law clerk will provide research on legal issues relating to various changes facing the industry due to the Dodd-Frank Act and other regulatory proposals. The law clerk may also attend and write summaries on Congressional hearings, Agency Board meetings, or industry meetings on topics of concern to FSR members or provide logistical support for meetings between policy makers and FSR members. Strong writing skills and attention to detail are essential. Experience or studies (classes) in financial services law preferred. The law clerk must attend (or be a graduate of) an ABA-accredited law school and have knowledge related to the Congressional and Regulatory processes. Law clerks will work approximately 20 hours per week. Salary is provided. The position is located in Washington, DC.
