Position: FSR interns

Position Summary:

Want to spend your semester in Washington? Are you interested in the intersection between the economy and politics? Do you want to have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the top executives, lobbyists, and communicators? If so, the Financial Services Roundtable (FSR) is the right place for your next internship!

FSR is a fast-paced, leading advocacy organization for America’s financial services industry. We work directly with CEOs, executives, and other key figures in the financial world to ensure policymakers enact legislation and regulation that is good for consumers, businesses, and the American economy.

We seek talented interns who crave learning new skills and aren’t afraid to tackle big projects. As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, working on real projects impacting America’s financial services industry.

FSR prides itself on providing an engaging internship experience that exposes you to Capitol Hill, government agencies including Treasury, law enforcement agencies including the FBI, the White House, and other key leaders in the financial services industry.

The position is based in Washington, D.C., and candidates are paid an hourly minimum wage. While we ideally prefer interns to work a full 40 hours each week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm), the hours and the length of the internship can be somewhat flexible.

Below are descriptions of each department. In order to be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter. FSR will assign each intern to a specific department, but all roles provide the opportunity to work across departments. In your application materials, please indicate at least 3 departmental preferences from the following:

BITS (FSR’s technology policy division)
Communications
Corporate Social Responsibility
Government Affairs
HOPE NOW (a consumer housing alliance)
Housing Policy Council (FSR’s housing policy division)
Meeting and Event Management
Membership Services and Operations
